Historic Rap Throwdown Reflection
I was really excited when I was first introduced to this project. When I saw how successful the other team was it gave me the motivation to try to do even better. I think that the rap battle videos are a great way for students to portray information because not only do they really get to know about their own historic figure, but it is a fun and entertaining way for people to learn about yours. Because it is a song, I have found myself getting informative rap lyrics stuck in my head from other peoples Historic Rap Throwdowns. Being in a group of six made it much harder to have everyone working on something. There were times when not everyone could be working, but there were other times when it was very helpful to have more people. My role in this project was the Executive Producer. I was in charge of making sure everybody was working. Like I said with a few extra people there are times when the only thing we need to do only takes a few people. That made my job much more difficult. I feel like it was more important that I made sure my group wasn’t distracting other groups if they didn’t have anything to do. I tried to have everyone at least watching and participating with the group by having them give their input. After completing this project I feel very relaxed to have the exhibition deadline that was stressing everyone finally behind me. I am also very embarrassed. I know in the beginning everyone said that if you act silly and embarrass yourself that it would be worth it in the end. I think my video did not turn out good enough and I personally feel that the embarrassment was not worth it. I feel bad about myself and wish I didn’t act in it.
