How was your work as an intern meaningful to your education and personal growth?
How did your view of life beyond high school change or develop during your time as an intern?
How did communication and/or collaboration at work influence your understanding of professional working environments?
It taught me a lot about the different levels of profession and the different parts of a company. All of the different parts of the company depend on each other to be able to do their part. As confusing as it sounds I really got able to understand this. There are many different collaborations that go on within the job that one has. Like all companies there are the bosses and even they need to go to others for help. So overall everyone has to work and depend on each other like we have to learn through our projects at school. I personally think that through HTHI's projects I understood that quite well.
Being an intern has been like a sneak preview to what the working world is really like. This is meaningful to my education because I know what I am working so hard for in school each day. As for personal growth I think that being able to connect with many adults and feel very welcome when going into a new environment was very meaningful to me. It is sad that I won't be seeing these people all the time anymore and I am enjoying my last week here.
How did your view of life beyond high school change or develop during your time as an intern?
My internship at Junior Achievement, because it is an organization focused on education and business, has given me some insight to how the world works and how important education is. I know now more than before what it takes to be successful in life and knowing what it takes is the first step.
